Dr. David LaGraffe is the Principal Assistant Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) program at the National Nuclear Security Administration. The RDT&E program supports the design, certification, and assessment of the Nation’s nuclear weapons stockpile and provides the scientific foundation, infrastructure, and capabilities needed to support other nuclear security missions across the NNSA and the U.S. Government. A retired Army Colonel, he has served in a variety of military, nuclear, scientific, and R&D positions. Dr. LaGraffe holds a Ph.D. in physics from Syracuse University. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College and has published 30 scientific and professional journal articles.
